We really hope you’re enjoying using the app, and are finding it an inspiring tool on your daily journey!
In digestible 2-minute videos, Radhanath Swami shares his wealth of realisations from the Bhakti tradition, and at the core of these teachings we find the principle of Seva: To give without an expectation to receive. Traditionally in the spiritual culture of yoga, a teacher exhibits this quality by sharing knowledge as an act of devotion, rather than for monetary gain. With the app we have endeavoured to preserve these same values in modern times, providing an affordable and accessible way for users to experience a reservoir of uplifting wisdom.
RISE is a free app, and we want to see it continue and expand in the years ahead. In early 2017 we want to roll out a host of new features including ebooks, a section for kirtan, exclusive Q&As with Radhanath Swami, and our most exciting offering yet – systematic online courses in the science of Bhakti Yoga.
Needless to say, setup for the app and these additional features does not come without expenditure for us – so how can such a project sustain itself? The solution is found once again in ancient culture of yoga. Here the act of generosity is coupled with that of gratitude. A qualified teacher gives freely and depends on higher powers for maintenance, the grateful student honours this by sharing a donation from the heart according to their means.
Nothing we’ve achieved with the app so far would be possible without your generous donations. If you would like to give a token of appreciation that would also help us to progress further with the offering, please sponsor us. Whatever you can contribute will have a significant impact, and enable us to transmit this timeless message to a wider audience than ever before.
